About La Victoria Performance

Lady and Horse with laptopWe have taken suggestions from our customers and from our experienced and knowledgeable veterinarians, and reformulated common equine health products to make them more effective. We know that to create the best products on the market, we must stay up-to-date with the latest scientific developments and use the best quality ingredients. Our products are manufactured to the highest standards in FDA-regulated laboratories.  We guarantee our products 100 percent.

By using only the highest-grade ingredients we can guarantee more efficient absorption and better results, minimizing veterinary visits and discomfort to your horses, and giving you a chance to BE FIRST MORE OFTEN.

Horses are our number one customers, but our products provide relief to other animals too, including dogs, ponies, donkeys, camels, and llamas.

Our products are used in every type of equestrian discipline – jumping, dressage, polo, racing, endurance, eventing, rodeos, and pleasure riding.

Many of our clients are or have been great athletes; some are simply great companions.  Horses don’t talk, but they have their own ways of expressing happiness and showing when they are uncomfortable or in pain. We are here to attend to their needs. We offer the best products on the market for you to make them healthier.

I have been a horse owner myself for over 30 years, and my family has been a horse family for generations. I believe that you and your horses are a team; you look out for them and they will look out for you.

At La Victoria, we work with horse owners, trainers, animal caregivers, and anyone who is responsible for the wellbeing of animals to educate them about our products and help them achieve the optimum results. We are always ready to give you as much information as we can about our products and to listen to any concerns you may have.

Our Staff

All of us at La Victoria Performance have been involved in the horse world our entire lives. The members of our staff have firsthand experience in many equestrian disciplines.

Sylvia Firestone Founder of LVP:

Sylvia FirestoneI am Sylvia Firestone, founder of LVP. My family has been involved the horse industry for several generations, in all kinds of disciplines and at all levels of competition. My first job was taking care of ponies, and today I breed, break and train the top polo horses in the world. My horses have competed in polo tournaments all over the world, including the Queen’s Cup in England, the High Goal Tournaments in the U.S., and the Argentina Open, with renowned polo players such as Augustin Merlos, the Gracida brothers, and Adolfo Cambiaso.

My family has being involved in the thoroughbred industry for many years, winning multiple graded stakes races and owning many horses, top broodmares and great stallions. I have had the opportunity to work side-by-side and learn from top thoroughbred horse trainers and veterinarians.

My sister-in law, and now my daughter, compete regularly in world class horse shows, riding top jumpers. All these great horses have to be maintained in prime condition. After 35 years of experience, I have come up with reformulated, more effective, and less invasive products for our horses because we use the best quality and innovative ingredients on the market.

Julia K. Presnell Director of Operations:

I am Julia K. Presnell, Director of Operations. I started in the horse world as a kid in 4-H with my pony, and never looked back. I went on to showing quarter horses, then to barrel racing in rodeos. Picking up plenty of knowledge along the way, I moved to Florida and worked for high goal polo players for 15 years, then moved on to the thoroughbred industry. With each step, I have enjoyed learning more about different types of care and veterinary styles. I love learning something new every day. I look forward to introducing you to our exciting new products and offering the best in customer service!

Kari Kelsall General Sales Manager:

Hello my name is Kari Kelsall and this is little of my equine background.

I grew up on a horse and beef cattle ranch in Wisconsin. My love of showing horses began with my experiences showing horses in 4H. I became interested in what it took to maintain a competitive edge, and discovered that it was easier to maintain my horses with preventative care than it was to fix them after problems arose. I attended the University of River Falls to learn as much as I could.

My quest for learning took me to Texas, where I worked under some very knowledgeable horsemen, with World Champion quarter horses. I asked questions of every veterinarian and horsemen I met to further my understanding of how to care for my competitive partners.

My husband is a professional reining and cow horse trainer, and we have won two National Titles in the NRCHA showing a mare that we raised. Along the way, there have been many horses, horse shows, and titles, but the objective has always remained the same: caring for my equine partner.
